Equity Actors for one role and two understudy roles in the Off-Broadway World Premiere of DEADLY STAGES (see breakdown).
Performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, abilities, and ages are strongly encouraged to attend.
Auditions will consist of sides from the script. Sides will be made available on the morning of the audition. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

DEADLY STAGES
MARVIN/JOE/FRITZ (Male Identifying, Late 40s-late 60s, Any Ethnicity) Doubles as: MARVIN MAXWELL- A big time Broadway producer. Older man, possibly foreign.
DETECTIVE JOSEPH JOE COLETTI- The smart, savvy NYC detective investigating the mysterious murders.
FREDERICK FRITZ FARLEY- An elderly actor, a tried-and-true veteran of the stage who has worked with all of the greats of the 20th Century.
MALE UNDERSTUDY (Male Identifying, 30s-40s, Any Ethnicity) To Understudy:
[TRACK 4] - ANTHONY TONY ARLO- A new hotshot Broadway playwright/director. Charismatic and somewhat conceited, but deservedly so. CLARENCE, the stage doorman and STAN, the hydraulic lift repairman.
[TRACK 5] - GRAHAM SINCLAIR- Charming and urbane if slightly effete-Peter Lawford type. An amusing, but ineffectual British playboy. His constant presence and penchant for showing up when he is least welcome is a constant annoyance to his soon to be ex-wife Veronica. Actor must be able to speak with a British accent. and WADE ELLIOT The leading man of Tony's new play. A young wannabe hepcat and a fan of Veronica's.
[TRACK 6] - MARVIN MAXWELL – A big time Broadway producer. Older man, possibly foreign. Also, JOE COLLETTI – The smart savvy NYC detective investigating the mysterious murders. And FRITZ FARLEY – An Elderly actor – a tried and true veteran of the stage who has worked with all the greats of the early 20th Century.
FEMALE UNDERSTUDY (Female Identifying, 30s-40s, Any Ethnicity) To Understudy:
[TRACK 1] - VERONICA TRAYMORE- A Broadway legend in her own time. Katherine Cornell, Tallulah Bankhead and Margo Channing all rolled into one. Emotional, imperious, mercurial.
[TRACK 2] - PHOEBE - An ambitious but sincere-seeming fledgling actress (inspired by Phoebe in ALL ABOUT EVE) - Believably sincere. She eagerly and excitedly accepts a job as Veronica's assistant when the previous one is murdered, and CONNIE - An aggressive but polished gossip columnist, someone you love to hate. She is a no-nonsense journalist who has never met a rumor she didn't exaggerate.
[TRACK 3] - DOONEY- An old as the hills Irish woman and Veronica's right hand. Ornery as all get out. Also, BARBARA LANDIS- The best literary agent in town. Smart and savvy. Think Eve Arden, and RITA VERNON- A beautiful movie starlet. Spoiled and not especially bright, though somewhat street smart.
