Male and Female AEA Principals for the 2013-2014 SEASON. Please see Breakdown.

Preparation

Please choose to prepare two contrasting monologues or one with considerable range in addition to one piece of contemporary Musical Theatre (16-32bars) not to exceed 3 minutes. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. Bring headshot and resume.

-Player #2 - MALE - portrays or gives voice to a Barkeep, Bruno (a dog), Gunda (Yamba’s father, a tribal chief), Bobo (Yamba’s brother), an AustralianProspector, a Society Lady, Albert (a boy), a Turtle Expert, a Wombat

-Clairee Belcher (mid 50s- 70s) Widow of the former mayor, a wealthy Grande Dame.

-Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie (20s) Sweet, smart and stubbornly independent.

-M’Lynn Eatenton (late 40s- mid 50s) Shelby’s mother, a socially prominent career woman.

-Ouiser (“Weezer”) Boudreaux (mid 50s - 70s) A wealthy curmudgeon. Acerbic but loveable.

-Patsy Cline - female - late 20's-early 30's - one of the most influential, successful and acclaimed female vocalists of the 20th century. Best known for her rich tone, emotionally expressive and bold contralto voice and her role as a country music industry pioneer.

-Louise Seger - female - 35-45 - Wise-cracking fan and friend of Patsy
