Simon Bright (25, sweet, enthusiastic, good-natured and affectionate, actor)
Inspector Goring (40-50, wry, knowing, imperturbable, the "sort of person who can find you out when you're lying)
Martha Gillete (70s, Williams mother, vague and indecisive, seems innocent and forgetful)
Madge Geisel (40s, married to Felix, flamboyant, wry, "smart-mouthed gal about town", actress)
Aggie Wheeler (25, beautiful, bright-eyed, full of spunk, affectionate and good-natured, Simon's girlfriend, actress)
Daria Chase (30s-40s, bluntly harsh journalist and critic, glamorous, full of show-biz cattiness, eye-catching, admired even when not liked).
