Actors are asked to prepare a monologue of their choosing, from 1-2 minutes in length, and bring their headshot and resume.

SWITZERLAND
by Joanna Murray Smith, dir. by James Barry
starts rehearsals May 26, performs June 18-June 28

Edward. Male, 20s. Any ethnicity. Handsome and mysterious. Appears naive and eager to please, but his awkward charm hides something darker inside.
Ethnicity: Any

Patricia Highsmith: Female, 60s. Any ethnicity. Famous writer of The Talented Mr. Ripley. Deliberately provocative. The fading glory of her writing days is possibly mirrored by a fading beauty. Her tough exterior hides deep insecurities.

THE LIFE OF THE WORLD TO COME
by Darcy Parker Bruce, dir. by Keira Naugton
starts rehearsals June 1, performs July 2-12

June: Female, 30s. Any ethnicity. A strong person, but struggling with the lingering effects of her childhood trauma. Deeply caring but very conflicted about what she needs and wants.

Grace: Female. 30s. Any ethnicity. Practical, still in love with June. Her concerns for her father and those she loves can sometimes come across as judgmental.

Henry: Male, 70s. Any ethnicity. Easy-going, no-fuss Vietnam vet, still dealing with the effects of the war, and not dealing with his increasingly deteriorating memory. (CAST. Actors will be considered as possible replacements should any become available.)

Joseph: Male, 70s. Any ethnicity. Unable to express himself well. Struggling to repair the damage he’s caused. Quiet, retired fireman. (CAST. Actors will be considered as possible replacements should any become available.)

Noah: Male, 30s. Any ethnicity. Dependable. Afghan war vet, formerly with Grace. Finds solace in his garden and in the haphazard family he’s become somewhat a part of.

Janine Bosko: Female, Caucasian. Early 60s. History professor at an elite college. Deeply intelligent and would describe herself as very liberal. Certain of what she believes.

Zoe Reed: Female, African-American or African descent, 20. Student at an elite college. Deeply intelligent and ready to confront the world. Certain of what she believes.
