Setting: NYC, the present. For Vincent Didonato, the family's metal-casting shop that he runs would hardly seem the perfect place to meet Ms. Right. But that is exactly what happens when a bunch of resumes from several comely New York actresses start pouring into his "casting" office. Finding one young waitress too irresistible to let slip away, he sets up an "audition" for a fictitious film. Mistaken identity and hilarity soon follow as show business and sheet metal collide. Madcap new comedy proves that sometimes it's all right to let sparks fly.

Seeking (all roles are available):

Note: The acting style should be broad and farcical … it’s really “The Honeymooners” with a heart. And like “The Honeymooners”, there are moments of pathos where the actors can slow down and reveal themselves.

Vincent Didonato:

Late 30s - late 40s. Unattached and unevolved. “Marty” as played by “Ralph Kramden”. Would like to find love, but feels as if all his efforts will come to naught.

Doo-Doo:

Man, late 30s - late 40s. Shop foreman. Vinnie’s oldest friend. Sees himself as an idea man. Ed Norton to Vincent’s Ralph Kramden.

Carmine:

Man, late 30s - late 40s. A welder. Lanky, with a sad face. Always crying or on the verge of tears.

Edie Keaton:

Mid 30s - early 40s. Down-on-her-luck actress/waitress, trying to return to the business after a difficult divorce. Kind of ditzy; usually only sure of herself on stage. Has a heart of gold, but has been burned one time too many.

Michele:

Your browser may not support display of this image. Woman, mid 30s - late 40s. Edie’s best friend and protector. An artist. Tough as nails.
