BREAKDOWN

Bobby - Male, any ethnicity, early 20s. Romantic, excitable, impulsive. A lonely kid who runs to the city from a broken home to find a new pack and a new identity. Though he is roughly the same age as Holly and Will, he is much more a boy, still yearning to grow into adulthood; Easily impressionable and swayed by magnetic personalities, love, and adventure.

Holly - Female, any ethnicity, early 20s. Driven and guarded but compassionate and loyal. A young professional who has used her interminable ambition to carefully build a new life for herself from the rubble of a turbulent past. Despite her best efforts to pose as authentic and casual, she guards her true self vigilantly. Only when she reunites with her childhood best friend can she reveal the vulnerable girl inside her, still longing to be cared for.

Will - Male, any ethnicity, early 20s. Gatsby for a new generation. Privileged and aloof, but effortlessly intoxicating and fascinating. Still processing complicated feelings about the recent death of his famous father, he believes the antidote to the ephemerality of everything is to be the life of every party, taking the lead to make every moment a memory.

Zak- Male, any ethnicity, late 20s. Cynical but funny, brooding but convivial, talented but tired. Once a promising fresh face on the music scene with a modest radio hit, he now fears he is losing touch with the artist he could have been, the girl he loves, the scene he is aging out of, and a world which grows more and more surreal to him. He seeks true connection with anyone who dares to be as unfiltered as he is about his creeping anxiety. Guitar proficiency required.
