Auditions in Theatre. Report to office below first.

For an appointment, call 207/367-2788 (M-F, 11-5). Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout the audition day, as time permits.

Please prepare a 2-minute monologue. In addition, prepare to do something in one minute or less that's wonderful, amazing and unique (if it's ballet, there should be something special about how YOU dance ballet). No accompanist provided, but you may play a disc or iPod.

Please bring a photo and resume, stapled back-to-back.

Seeking 8-actor ensemble (M/F, all races, ethnicities and ages). All roles are available. Note: Actors in four of the roles in this production will also perform in a separate production, ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA. Watch for notice of separate Equity auditions for that production.

Note: All MUST also have a special skill: singing, instruments, dance, gymnastics, comedy, clowning, etc.

Impresario:

Any age/gender. Great energy and polish, with an agile tongue. In control, when all else is not.

Villain:

Any age/gender. Has anybody ever contained such pleasure and guilt all at once?

Father:

35-55. May be played by a male or female actor. Father has road-weariness but a lofty imagination. A serious actor with a twinkle in his eye.

Mother:

At least 35-55. Stalwart, practical, yet capable both of Marilyn-esque ditzy acting and of melting the audience’s hearts with a breath.

Son:

Under 25. An apparent Norman-Rockwell wholesomeness conceals desires that may be hard to tame.

Daughter:

Under 25. Not considered golden like her brother. Quirky and outspoken. Capable of time travel.

Additional Roles will be cast according to special skills.
