The Ringwald Theatre Presents SIGNIFICANT OTHER

Opening January 4th at The Ringwald Theatre, contemporary comedy Significant Other by Joshua Harmon takes on the stereotypes of the "gay best friend" and takes aim at the lives of late-twentysomethings in the early 21st century.

Playwright Harmon gained renown for 2012's Bad Jews. Significant Other debuted off-Broadway in 2015 to great acclaim and moved to Broadway in 2017. His work is pointed, poignant, and furiously funny.

Significant Other revolves around Jordan and his tight social circle. Jordan's best friends are all women-and they're all getting married, one by one. He's still searching for Mr. Right and figuring out that finding The One is easier said than done.

The production is directed by Brandy Joe Plambeck and features Andrew Barikmo, Meredith Deighton, Annie Dilworth, Jean Garringer, Jaye Stellini, Matt Wallace, and Allen Wiseman.

The design team features Gretchen Craven Schock (props), Dan Koch (set), and Brandy Joe Plambeck (lighting and sound).

Tickets can be purchased at www.TheRingwald.com or at the theatre, located at 22742 Woodward Avenue in downtown Ferndale. The Ringwald box office opens 45 minutes before performances and tickets can be purchased with cash or credit card. For more information, please call 248-545-5545.
