A Chorus Line examines one day in the lives of seventeen dancers, all vying for a spot in the chorus line of a Broadway musical. After the first round of cuts, Zach, the director and choreographer, asks each dancer to speak about themselves. Discomfort opens into revelation, confession leads to redemption, and within the bright, outwardly homogeneous chorus, the audience begins to see each dancers individuality. Based on real Broadway dancers' stories, as told to fellow dancer and choreographer Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line is funny, heartbreaking, and refreshingly honest.
Directed by Original Broadway Chorus Line Member Michael Serrecchia.
Music Directed by Scott A. Eckert.
Choreography by Julie Russell Stanley & Megan Kelly Bates.

Fresh off a record-setting run of A Chorus Line last fall, MainStage Irving-Las Colinas announces its 2020-2021 Irving Arts Center series to be produced in the Dupree Theatre (3333 N. MacArthur Blvd., Irving TX).
While the current production of A CHORUS LINE at MainStage Irving-Las Colinas works hard to present a cohesive and coherent vision of what the show can be, the musical frequently feels more like an open cattle call than an exhibition of extraordinary talent.
One Singular Sensation dances into Irving this fall as MainStage Irving-Las Colinas takes the Irving Arts Center stage with the multiple Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, A Chorus Line. Written about the true lives of the onstage chorus stars, MainStage's A Chorus Line is helmed by a headliner himself: Broadway's Michael Serrecchia. Tickets are on sale now at www.IrvingArtsCenter.com.
It's almost show time in downtown Irving! The Heritage District will soon be abuzz with song, dance and more with new stages recently leased by the city's premier theater group - MainStage Irving-Las Colinas. Adopting the former Texas Musicians Museum at 222 East Irving Blvd, MainStage Irving-Las Colinas will now manage the venue as MainStage 222. The non-profit organization's new home will feature indoor and outdoor stages as well as rehearsal space, storage, and a scenic-building facility. The theater company will continue its traditional production series at the Irving Arts Center. The new space will allow the organization to increase its production offerings with a variety of performances to be presented in downtown Irving.
MainStage Irving-Las Colinas has announced their 2019-2020 season to be produced at their award-winning theatre in the heart of the metroplex located at Irving Arts Center (3333 N MacArthur Blvd., Irving TX). This season is to be presented from September 2019 to August 2020 including five main-stage productions plus two special season add-ons.
