Theatre Wesleyan Continues Season with Tony Award-Winning Rock Musical SPRING AWAKENING

Theatre Wesleyan at Texas Wesleyan University is pleased to announce the full cast and production team for the second production of the 2017/18 season, Spring Awakening, the Tony Award®-winning Best Musical by Duncan Sheik & Steven Sater.

The winner of eight Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, told by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater through what Entertainment Weekly called, "the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade," Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality and rock and roll that is exhilarating audiences across the nation like no other musical in years.

Spring Awakening will be directed by Emily Cherry, alumna and adjunct instructor of theatre, and will open on Friday, Nov. 3 for a limited run of five performances through Sunday, Nov. 12. Performances will be held at the Thad Smotherman Theatre on the Texas Wesleyan University campus at 1205 Binkley Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76105.

Tickets to all performances of Spring Awakening are now available at the Theatre Wesleyan website at www.txwes.edu/theatre.

A Theatre Wesleyan alumni reunion event will be held following the Saturday, Nov. 11 performance. The event will be held at the Baker Building, 3021 East Rosedale Street. RSVP to the event by filling out this form. Please note that this RSVP form is only for the Reunion Event.

The cast includes Tristen Brown (Otto/Ulbrecht), Reagan Fraze (Martha), Richard Givans (Hanschen/Rupert), Darin Martin (Ernst/Reinhold), Jasmine Mesre (Thea), Malik Offor (Georg/Dieter), Kimberly Owen (Anna), Skylar Peters (Wendla), Michelle Phillips (Ilse), Crystal Salazar (The Adult Women), Alastair Sigala Ramirez (The Adult Men), Ryan Simon (Moritz), and Alfredo Tamayo (Melchior).
