Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and the unforgettable songs of the 70s take center stage in Broadways side-splitting homage to classic disaster films.DISASTER! is a new musical straight from Broadway, featuring some of the most unforgettable songs of the 70s. Knock on Wood, Hooked on a Feeling, Sky High, Mocking Bird and Hot Stuff are just a few of the scintillating hits in this hilarious musical comedy with a book by three-time Emmy Award nominee and SiriusXM Broadway host, Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick.Its 1979 and New Yorks hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and discotheque. What begins as a night of boogie fever quickly changes to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple disasters, such as earthquakes, tidal waves and infernos. As the night turns into day, everyone struggles to survive and, quite possibly, repair the love that theyve lost or at least escape the killer rats.The cast includes Tom Patrick as Tony Delvecchio; Adriana Sanchez as Jackie Noelle; Tad Fujioka as Professor Ted Scheider; Brittany Gerardi as Marianne Wilson; Race Chambers as Chad Rubik; Jon Michell as Maury Winters; Dee Shandera as Shirley Winters; Amanda Zaida Hansen as Sister Mary Downey; Debbi Ebert as Levora Verona; Marcus Vayette as Scott; Megan Michell as Ben/Lisa; Simon Hedrick as Jake; and Justin Halas, Kady Lawson, Jessie Mays, and Katie Walsh in the Ensemble. DISASTER! is directed by Damien Lorton and produced by Nicole Cassesso. This musical is backed up by an 8-piece orchestra on stage. Performances run from Friday, March 1 through Sunday, March 24 at The GEM THEATRE. Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm, at the Gem Theatre in Garden Grove, CA. An additional two matinee shows have been added on March 9 and March 16 beginning at 2 pm.
