YOU AND ME AND CHRISTMAS! Grammy Winner LeAnn Rimes Celebrates The Holidays At The McCallum

The McCallum Theatre presents LeAnn Rimes, with Barry Zito, on Saturday, December 15, at 8:00pm. LeAnn will present "You and Me and Christmas," about which she says, "I love everything about the holidays and want to share the magic and joy of the season with my fans. I look forward to playing some of my favorite Christmas classics in an intimate, cozy setting." Multi-Platinum selling LeAnn Rimes has sold more than 44 million records, won two Grammy Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, two World Music Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, one Country Music Association Award, and one Dove Award. At 14, LeAnn, won "Best New Artist," the youngest recipient ever to win a Grammy Award.

LeAnn inked a worldwide deal with RCA UK and released her 16th studio album, Remnants in 2017. The album debuted at # 4 on Billboard's Independent Album Chart and peaked at #3 on iTunes overall charts in its first week. The first single released in the U.S. was "Long Live Love", which peaked at # 1 on Billboard's Dance Chart and held the #1 spot for multiple weeks. Her second dance hit "LovE is LovE is LovE" topped the Billboard Dance Chart at # 1 shortly after its debut, making this her third career #1 dance chart-topper. She recently released her third installment of her trilogy of love with her latest dance single "Love Line."

LeAnn had her first national hit at age 13 with the 1996 release of her album Blue which remained at the #1 spot on Billboard's country albums chart for more than three months. Out of the 42 charting singles she has released throughout her career, LeAnn's song "How Do I Live" ranks #4 on Billboard's "Greatest of All Time: Hot 100 Songs," and it holds the record for being the second longest charting song ever on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Fifteen of her multi-genre singles are Top 10 hits, including "Can't Fight the Moonlight" which went #1 in 11 countries. She had a hand in penning every song on her 2007 release Family which received two Grammy Award nominations. Her last album with Curb Records, Spitfire, was released in 2013 and debuted at #9 on Billboard's Top Country Album chart and #4 on iTunes. An album of greatest hits dance remixes, Dance Like You Don't Give A ... Greatest Hits Remixes, released in 2014, went to #1 on the iTunes Dance chart. In 2015, LeAnn released her third Christmas album Today is Christmas, a follow up to her 2014 album One Christmas.

LeAnn has long-supported a variety of charity organizations including the National Psoriasis Foundation, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, Stand Up for Kids, as well as The Trevor Project. She recently began her work with the Friend Movement, an anti-bullying organization, and was honored with the "Ally of Equality Award" by the Human Rights Campaign celebrating her 20 years of supporting the LGBTQ community. This follows her 2009 honor as the recipient of the ACM Humanitarian Award.

Her new Hallmark movie, It's Christmas Eve, debuted in November, and the release of the companion original soundtrack was released in October. The soundtrack includes three new original songs specifically created for the film - "The Gift of Your Love," "It's Christmas Eve," and "You and Me and Christmas."

At twenty-one, Barry Zito became a first-round pick and signed with the Oakland Athletics. By his third year, he boasted a 23-5 record and won the Cy Young Award as the American League's best pitcher. In 2006, he signed the richest contract ever for a pitcher with the San Francisco Giants. This world class athlete is now throwing that heat in a new direction - his music.

Barry began playing guitar in his 20s, and while on the road, started dabbling in songwriting. After retiring from baseball in 2015, he began crafting songs that would fill his debut album No Secrets.

Perhaps it was fate that brought the World Series winner full circle to a Triple A team in Nashville right before he retired. During his year with the Nashville Sounds, Barry found a renewed love for baseball and time to focus on songwriting. After talking about his musical aspirations in an interview with "The Tennessean" newspaper, an ASCAP rep contacted him; within months Barry began collaborating with Nashville songwriters. A year after announcing his retirement from baseball, Barry recorded the autobiographically-tinged tunes that would become No Secrets.
