October 12 to November 13, Malibu Playhouse is presenting a very special, unique and powerful INTERACTIVE production suitable for students in grades 4-12.

"MONSTER” (a "You, the Jury" performance) is an interactive show designed by writer/producer Diane Namm (founder of West of Broadway www.westofbroadway.org) to allow young audiences to experience the weighty responsibility of being on a jury to decide a defendant's fate. (The show's outcome depends upon the audience vote of guilty or not guilty.)

There will be a post-show Q&A with an attorney to answer any questions a young audience might have about the jury process.

A special art exhibit of Fan Art for Dick Van Dyke will be on display at the theatre to celebrate the launch of his autobiography “Keep Moving" and upcoming 90th birthday in December. Mr. Van Dyke is not only a film and television Hollywood legend, but he is also the Executive Creative Producer of the Malibu Playhouse. Exhibit dates: Oct. 2-11.

Attendees of “Monster" can view the exhibit in The Annex for free.

This is a four-week run open to the general public. School attendance by appointment by emailing: info@malibuplayhouse.org
