Founded in 2011 by critically acclaimed performer Chiara Mangiameli, Studio Mangiameli celebrates its fifth year anniversary with Love Song, a dance concert inspired by T. S. Eliot’s The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock.

In the show we see a woman reminiscing and confronting various emotional stages in her life through the dances and songs, interpreted by the fifty plus student dancers that make up Studio Mangiameli's ensemble, from the newest beginner to the most advanced.

Rooted in the energy, dynamics and inherent drama of flamenco, the original choreographies by Chiara Mangiameli and guest artist Paloma Gómez offer a variety of rhythms and styles: from a Classical Spanish suite featuring a large ensemble dance with castanets, to a more modern and highly interpretive solo performed by Ms. Mangiameli. This much anticipated fifth anniversary concert will also feature a performance by Flamenco Kids, Studio Mangiameli's children group.

Love Song is ultimately a celebration of dance as an instrument that brings us closer to our own humanity and vulnerability. It is about allowing music and poetry to change the way we look at ourselves and the world around us.
