Happy Holidays! Last year was so difficult for all of us. Of course, Summer came and went with no live performances, so that was bad for Summer Place, but for everybody in December, when families wanted to get together, they couldn't. Well, Summer Place can't let that stand, no no no, not when we can provide you all Christmas in July - that's right, on July 16, 17, and 18, we'll be performing an adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", only this time, the year is 1944, and Scrooge is publisher of the Daily News, a great metropolitan newspaper. Oh, and we're performing it as an old-time radio show, where you are our live studio audience. We even have live foley sound effects. Written and directed by Chris Corrigan of Cantigny museum with Col. Robert McCormick himself as inspiration.
Performance Location:
95th St. Community Plaza
Wagner Performance Pavilion
3109 Cedar Glade Drive in Naperville
