BroadwayWorld Chicago is excited to update the details for our annual Tony Award Viewing Party, when Chicago's theater community (professionals and fans alike) will come together to enjoy the televised broadcast of the 69th Annual Tony Awards from New York.

The biggest night of the year for live theater is a great chance to root for your favorites, glimpse a colleague in the audience, plan your future theatrical experiences, or just enjoy the company of like-minded folks from all across the Chicagoland area. Mark your calendars now, for Sunday night, June 7th!

As stage and screen stars Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming prepares to host the Tonys, presented at Radio City Music Hall by the American Theatre Wing and the Broadway League, we will gather at The Call Bar in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood, at 1547 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue (between Clark and Ashland). Showtunes begin playing on the club's video screens at 5:00 pm, so you can arrive at any time between then and 7:00 pm, when the telecast begins on CBS. You won't want to miss the opening number! It's a three-hour telecast, until 10:00, but why leave then? The Call Bar is open until 2:00 am that night, and will feature showtune videos spun once again by VJ Michael Hogan. Admission is free, and no tickets are necessary, though of course the bar is a 21+ venue only.

And we'll have Trivia! Once again, the theme is "Chicago At The Tonys!" There are so many Chicagoans who've been nominated for Tony Awards over the years (including this year), and so many Tony honorees who've performed on our stages, that there are plenty of questions to ask and answer.

Here's how it will work: at each commercial break, Party hosts Paul W. Thompson (representing BroadwayWorld Chicago) and Ashley Morgan (The Call's drag hostess) will ask one trivia question. If somebody shouts it out correctly, they win that round! If no one does, whoever comes up to the Party table with the correct answer during the next televised segment will win. (No smartphone cheating, though. That's not fun!)

And what can you win? We're once again amassing an impressive array of free ticket offers from a cross-section of Chicago theater companies. And we have 20 participating theaters this year!! Lucky winners can choose a prize, usually consisting of two free tickets for one of the following Chicago productions (and still more in the works):

So, we look forward to seeing you there and then. June 7, 2015 is the day, and Andersonville is the neighborhood. It's the Tony Award Viewing Party hosted by BroadwayWorld Chicago. Come one, come all, to The Call!
