In 1947, Edna and Nate Wasserman bought a small 3 cabin resort on Meta Lake, which has now blossomed into a gorgeous camp facility that is the home to over 250 campers and counselors each and every summer. Marimeta is more than a camp… it’s a feeling. For almost 70 years several thousand young ladies have called it their summer home. Third generation camp directors Sandy and Terry Cohen have operated Marimeta since 1984. Nestled in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin, Marimeta is situated on Meta Lake. A private 200-acre lake with no public access. Our girls live in one of 13 well appointed cabins complete with electricity and bathrooms with hot and cold running water. The cabins are also equipped with thermostat-controlled heaters to take the chill out of a cool northern Wisconsin evening.

Our campers range in age from 7 – 15 years old. Many girls come from the Chicagoland area, but we also welcome campers from all over the United States and abroad. Girls arrive from Mexico, Israel, and from as far away as Japan. Our children can attend camp for either a 4 or 8-week session, and we proudly receive an over 90% return rate of our campers each year!

For over 69 years Camp Marimeta has been providing a second home to young ladies from around the country, and even the world. Camp Marimeta is the perfect place for your daughter to call her own.
