LIZA'S BACK! (IS BROKEN) Debuts In NYC From Australian Theater And Concert Star Trevor Ashley

The Australian theater and concert star Trevor Ashley will make his long-awaited New York debut with Liza's Back! (Is Broken) - following smash seasons in London, and across Australia, including a sell-out run at the Sydney Opera House - at Sony Hall on Monday, February 4, 2019. Using humor, wit, and powerhouse vocals, Liza's Back! (Is Broken) imagines the Broadway career the legendary Liza Minnelli might have had, if she taken on other roles such as Maria in The Sound of Music, Norma Desmond in Sunset Blvd, or as Grizabella in Cats. In an astonishing transformation backed by a seven piece band, Trevor recreates the looks, the gowns, the mannerisms and the voice that made Ms. Minnelli a superstar, including some of Liza's biggest hits, "Maybe This Time," "Cabaret" and "Theme from New York, New York," to make for an unforgettable evening. His clever wordplay has the audience doubled over in laughter while his dazzling voice brings the crowd to their feet. Ashley will perform in New York after a string of private events throughout the country.

Trevor Ashley, one of Australia's most sought-after and successful performers, has built a career as an actor, writer, director and international queen of cabaret. In July 2015, Trevor made his directorial debut? to sold out audiences and critical acclaim with ?the Australian premiere of Heathers: The Musical (Sydney Theatre Award nominee - Best Direction of a Musical), which played a sell out season at the Sydney Opera House. Trevor sold out the Sydney Opera House performances of his brand new show Liza's Back!
