BROADWAY BABES: a Drag Cabaret Benefit Comes to Feinstein's/54 Below

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Broadway Babes: A Drag Cabaret benefitting the NYC Gay Men's Chorus. Hosted by Mama Mela and Ellia J. Garlands, the evening will celebrate strong female characters throughout musical theatre history. Under the musical direction of Jeremiah Oliver, the talented cast also includes Amanda Poupon, Maeby de Laid, Douzie Lane. Tim Hein and Christopher Lucas are also joining the cast this concert!

Host Mama Mela has been a singing member for the NYCGMC for over four years and has been performing around NYC since 2012. Most notably performing with RuPaul's Drag Race Alum Bob TheDragQueen & Monet Exchange, she enjoys using her drag to further the artistic and social mission of the NYCGMC. Host Ellia J. Garlands has been singing with the NYCGMC since 2014 and enjoys singing across the city and on Fire Island. Notable accomplishments include performing with Lorna Luft at FEINSTIEN'S/54 BELOW and Alan Cumming at Club Cumming where she performs regularly.

Jeremiah Oliver has been accompanying and performing as a pianist, harpist, and composer for over 20 years. He has been in NYC since 2013, teaching French and music, and singing with the New York City Gay Men's Chorus for the last four years. He hopes to continue expanding both his skill with instruments (especially the 'cello) and languages (including Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian), as well as his network of awesome New York artists and doers.

Broadway Babes: a Drag Cabaret benefitting the NYC Gay Men’s Chorus plays Feinstein’s/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on January 16th, 2019 at 9:30pm. There is a $30-65 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com.
