Andrea Niane Comes to Feinstein's/54 Below

Andrea Niane is a vocalist and songwriter from the south of Norway. Her music is located in an original ever changing pop-landscape with influences from R&B and Soul. With the individual voice in front, Niane is joined by a band consisting of keyboards, synthesizers and a groovy rhythm section. Her music and presence makes the audience want to laugh, cry, think, sing and dance!

The artist is known around the south of Norway from the acoustic folk pop trio «Ask». The trio have performed on many prestige filled stages including the main stage at «Canal Street music festival» and played support for the known Icelandic artist Asgeir Trausti. This in addition to three very successful tours around Norway with their debut album «Blinded» (2015), the EP «Little Bird» (2011) and several singles.

In 2016 Andrea Niane formed her own musical project where she was the writer, band leader and singer. The collaboration was very successful and together, the musicians found an intriguing sound based on sometimes goofy lyrics, other times pure emotion and individuality. The band toured around Norway where they were met by enthusiastic and loving crowds. Today Niane is doing her Master's in songwriting at NYU Steinhardt where she's continuing the creative processes together with new exciting, boundary-pushing musicians.
