The Idea of You, the new romantic comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, is now available to stream on Prime Video. Based on the acclaimed, contemporary love story of the same name, The Idea of You centers on Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. Grammy-Award-nominated singer and actress Janelle Monáe is the latest high-profile artist to join the upcoming musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. Monáe joins the previously announced Missy Elliott, Brian Tyree Henry, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey, and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Monáe's screen credits include Moonlight, Hidden Figures, and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery where she portrayed twins Cassandra and Helen Brand.

On Thursday, actress Hannah Waddingham joined The Today Show to discuss her role in the new comedy The Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. In the film, she plays producer Gail Meyer, a character that Waddingham calls 'revolting'. 'She's very self-serving. Her needle on her moral compass is somewhere else,' the actress said as she pointed around. Watch the interview now!

The series takes place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). The first five seasons are now streaming.

Tom Hollander and Niamh Algar are set to star in a new Sky Original thriller Iris, written and created by Neil Cross, the mastermind behind the acclaimed Golden Globe Award-winning series Luther. Iris is a sun-drenched chase thriller about a rootless and enigmatic genius, Iris Nixon (Algar) who steals a code from charming philanthropist Cameron McIntyre (Hollander) and goes on the run. Armed only with her lethal intelligence and chameleonic charm, the clock is ticking for her to work out what the code could unleash before she is found.

The final guests for Season 49 of Saturday Night Live have been announced as Maya Rudolph and Jake Gyllenhall. Maya Rudolph will host “SNL” for the third time on May 11. The five-time Emmy Award winner currently stars in and executive produces the second season of Loot. Jake Gyllenhaal will host the May 18 season finale, returning as host for the third time. He makes his series debut as star and executive producer of “Presumed Innocent,” premiering June 12 on Apple TV+. 

Deadline has reported that Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas will appear in a new musical comedy from John Carney, director of Once and Sing Street. The film, titled Power Ballad, is said to tell 'the story of a wedding singer (Rudd), a rock star (Jonas), and the song that comes between them.' The musical, which is currently filming in Dublin, will hit the Cannes market this month.

Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac are set to star in the thriller Flesh of the Gods from director Panos Cosmatos. In glittering 80's LA, married couple, Raoul and Alex descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm of 80’s Los Angeles. When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic NAMELESS and her hard-partying cabal, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills, and violence.

According to reportsm Anthony Hopkins will be taking on another real-life figure by playing composer George Frideric Handel in a new biopic from Andrew Levitas, director of Minimata. The script for the film, titled The King of Covent Garden, was written by playwright and professor Tim Slover and centers on Handel while he creates his 1741 masterpiece, Messiah.

Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons will be starring together in a comedy from Simon Curtis, the director of My Week With Marilyn and Downton Abbey: A New Era. The forthcoming comedy will center on Nigel (Irons) and Marie (Close), playing former Broadway veterans who are now living in a retirement community. When they discover the hidden talents of their fellow residents, they decide to put on a show starring Nigel and produced by Marie.

Peacock has just released the trailer for Season 2 of the critically acclaimed comedy series We Are Lady Parts. Season 2 of the series sees the band return with a renewed artistic mission after the high of their first UK tour, only to find a rival band threatens their delicate status quo. Netflix has released the full-length trailer for Eric, a new limited series from Abi Morgan. The series, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Gaby Hoffmann and McKinley Belcher III will be arriving on Netflix on May 30th, 2024. Set in 1980s New York, Eric is a new emotional thriller from Abi Morgan following the desperate search of a father when his nine-year-old son disappears one morning on the way to school.
