Miranda Otto, Zoë Chao, Zach Woods Join the Cast of DOWNHILL

Miranda Otto, Zo' Chao, and Zach Woods have joined the cast of Downhill, according to Deadline. They join previously announced stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Ferrell.

The film is FOX Searchlight's Nat Faxon and Jim Rash-directed remake of Ruben Ostlund's 2014 Swedish drama-comedy Force Majeure. The film was written by Jesse Armstrong.

The film centers around how a narrow avalanche escape during a ski vacation in the Alps throws a seemingly picture-perfect family into disarray as they are forced to reevaluate life, and how they truly feel about each other.

Louis-Dreyfus is producing the film with Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Foxcatcher) and Stefanie Azpiazu (Private Life and Enough Said). Executive producers are by Ostlund and Erik Hemmendorff.

Otto can be seen now as Aunt Zelda in Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Her credits include the second and third films in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings franchise, Annabelle: Creation, and the FOX series 24: Legacy.

Chao stars on Facebook Watch's Strangers and can next be seen in Richard Linklater's adaptation of Maria Semple's novel, Where'd You Go Bernadette, opposite Cate Blanchett as well as Sell By, an indie film from Mike Doyle starring Patricia Clarkson.

Woods, is best known for starring in Silicon Valley. He appeared in the Steven Spielberg-directed Oscar-nominated film The Post, with Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, was a series regular on NBC's The Office, and can next be heard in Sony's The Angry Birds Movie 2.
