Festival Place Presents Folk Rock Legend, John York

Festival Place presents Folk Rock legend, John York, January 19. York will be joined on stage by Front Porch Roots Revue alumni, Gord Matthews and Thom Moon.

John York was a member of the legendary Byrds during the Dr. Byrds and Mr. Hyde thru the Ballad of Easy Rider era, appearing on those fabulous discs as well as the Live At The Fillmore '69 album. John has continued to mine Byrds material over the years, had a band with ex-Byrd Gene Clark and has been part of Barry McGuire's "Trippin' The Sixties" show. John's extensive resume also includes membership in the Sir Douglas Quintet, the Mamas and Papas touring band and recordings as a solo artist.

Festival Place continues to be Alberta's #1 Presenter of Professional Artists. The 2017/2018 season showcased an eclectic mix of over 80 incredibly talented performers. The 2018/2019 season carries on the same ambitious standard of entertainment, with over 50 performances already scheduled between September 2018 and April 2019, with new shows added throughout the year.
