Hoff-Barthelson Music School Hosts College Advisory Panel Discussion

Hoff-Barthelson Music School hosts its annual College Advisory on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 3:30 pm, at the Music School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale, New York. This program is free of charge and open to the public.

Hoff-Barthelson Music School (HBMS) faculty members and recent alumni will be featured in a roundtable discussion, moderated by HBMS Dean Ruth Alperson, about the college selection process. The discussion will center on the continuation of music education and performance at the college level, with an emphasis on the merits of conservatory vs. liberal arts colleges. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students with an interest in a college focus on music to begin the college exploration process.

Special guest speaker will be well-known educational consultant Jane Klemmer, founder of Klemmer Educational Consulting. Ms. Klemmer holds a BA in music from Wesleyan University, (viola) and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.
