New Book 'World 5.0 - We Move From Here' Offers Strategy For Peace

What if humanity's collective mind could be reprogrammed to work in harmony instead of perpetual opposition and competition? Author Jim Prues explains a revolutionary new philosophy of living, thinking and healing in his new book "World 5.0 - We Move From Here."

Based on Prues' 2011 book, "World 5.0 - Healing Ourselves, Our Earth and Our Life Together," the sequel delves deeper into concepts that the author believes are even more vital to human survival, in view of increasing political tensions and polarization in the United States and worldwide.

Expanding on concepts borrowed from Eastern and Western spiritualism, in the context of contemporary political and economic issues, Prues concludes that Globalism is harming the world and argues that corporations need to be reined in, while there is still time.

"This book is about creating a new cultural operating system, like those in computers and phones, and applying that concept to our thoughts and actions," Prues said. "The old culture is based on money, power and corruption. We need to recognize that we are all in this life together. The decisions we make from minute to minute can impact our health and happiness. We need to start making better decisions."

According to Prues, "World 5.0" can be summarized in what he calls The Three Truths:

  1. Now is the only time that exists.

  2. Our intent powers our experience.

  3. Only love makes us happy.

In his book, Prues suggests that the path forward is to first heal oneself, through forgiveness and gratitude. The next step is for individuals to engage with their communities, by focusing on issues that interest them, such as local food, sustainable energy, stopping war, climate chaos and more.

Prues acknowledges that some of his ideas can be found in other teachings and writings, including those of the popular German spiritual teacher and author, Eckhart Tolle. However, Prues believes it is more important to focus on the moment than the future, in order to make the future better.

"In Eckhart Tolle's book 'The Power of Now,' he talks about how powerful this moment is, but he does not make a claim that this is all there is," Prues said. "I would argue that where we are, in time, is the only place that life happens. You can never leave this moment. If you wait five seconds or five years, the same thing will be true. We can elect to change our thoughts and feelings here and now, to improve the present and live happier, more fulfilling lives.

Jim Prues is a Cincinnati-based based video producer, owner of Panoptic Media, and a former congressional candidate. "World 5.0 - We Move From Here" is available on Amazon.com and at www.world5.org.
