With a strong partner, the esteemed Gelsey Kirkland ArtsCenter, our 2019 DDF allows us to expand the impact of our festival, and is only one of many exciting developments to come.This years DDF will showcase the work of about 70 emerging and established choreographers/dance companies from across the USA and abroad. The 2019 DUMBO Dance Festival is expected to attract audiences of more than 3,500+ people. Images below are selected from the 2018 DUMBO Dance Festival.Special Performance OpportunitiesAn invitation to perform at the 2020 New Dance Festival in KOREA: After the 2019 DUMBO Dance Festival, one highly-selected company will be given the opportunity to perform in this festival.An invitation to perform at the 2020 Detroit Dance City Festival: After the 2019 DUMBO Dance Festival, one highly-selected company will be given the opportunity to perform in this festival.The Opening Night Gala on October 10th will be an elaborate Gala night featuring stellar performances by six companies from the DDF roster and WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company.The Family-Friendly Sunday matinee performance introduces children and their families to discover the joy of dance.The spectacular Grand Finale Performance concludes the festival with 8 outstanding companies.Application Form & DeadlinesAPPLICATION DEADLINE: April 22nd, 11:30pm(Early Bird Special by April 1st)Click HERE for the online 2019 DUMBO Dance Festival Application Form.Each choreographer/company may submit up to two applications for consideration.
