"Being first lady is the hardest unpaid job in the world." ~ Pat Nixon

The role of First Lady comes with no job description, no pay, and no written requirements. Yet Americas presidential spouses have wielded great influence and have always been subject to intense public scrutiny. What is it like for a woman who husband becomes president of the United States and she is suddenly thrust into the spotlight? Why were some so adored and others so vilified? How did each negotiate such an undefined, yet influential position?

First Ladies Forum shares that fascination, which is why they specialize in bringing some of Americas most fascinating first ladies to life.

Offering a virtual series of four historical portrayals on the First Friday's of the month-- May-August (excl. 4th of July weekend, when the event occurs on the 2nd Friday of the month).
