Awards were presented last night to 34 outstanding actors, directors, designers, choreographers, musicians, and 5 visiting productions by the Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) at the 40th Anniversary Elliot Norton Awards ceremony, held at the Huntington Theatre in Boston.
Preludes with music, lyrics, book, and orchestrations by Dave Malloy and directed by Courtney O'Connor° and music direction by Dan Rodriguiez features incredible voices Lyric Stage audiences have grown to love joined by compelling new ones in a cast that shines. Dave Malloy's lush and exuberant compositions are interpreted by some of Boston's best musical theater performers in this musical gem that also features live on-stage Rachmaninov pieces played by Music Director, Dan Rodriguez.

Greater Boston Stage Company presents Ain't Misbehavin' directed and co-choreographed by Maurice Emmanuel Parent. Produced by The Nora at Central Square Theatre, The Front Porch Arts Collective, and Greater Boston Stage Company. Named after the 1929 Thomas “Fats” Waller song, Ain't Misbehavin' is a musical revue tribute to the black musicians of the Harlem Renaissance in the 1920s and '30s.
The Huntington and The Front Porch Arts Collective announce a multi-year strategic partnership beginning September 1, 2021. The Porch will be in residence with The Huntington, and the two companies will provide each other mutually beneficial support and services, as well as opportunities for multidirectional learning and growth.
