WITH LOVE AND A MAJOR ORGAN Comes to Boise Contemporary Theater

Fresh off of its sold out run of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Boise Contemporary Theater proudly presents the fiercely original play, With Love and a Major Organ, by Julia Lederer and directed by Julie Ritchey.

With Love and a Major Organ is the story of a woman with a paper heart, the mother who wanted to spare her the pain of a real one, and a stranger on the subway with so much love to give.

Discussing his reasons for choosing this play Artistic Director, Matthew Cameron Clark, says, "Julia has written a beautiful and truly original love story that I am excited to share with audiences here in Boise. I am also thrilled that our director Julie Ritchey has worked with the playwright to make this production of 'With Love' the first one to feature an all female cast."

In addition to the welcome return of the brilliantly talented Lynn Allison, BCT is incredibly proud to have two fantastic new actors joining the company. Juanita Andersen and Sarah Price both come from Chicago, as does Julie Ritchey, who returns to BCT after directing the world premieres of Narwhal! Unicorn of the Sea and No More Sad Things, as well as last season's The Storm in the Barn.

"The Los Angeles times raves "Lederer's dialogue is laced with sophisticated poetry and wry insight into the isolation faced by a generation for whom the meaning of 'friend'-ship has been devalued by social media. The eccentric young characters are played with touching emotional delicacy, and the mother adds a layer of humorous technophobia in her clueless struggles with online dating."

"With Love" previews Dec. 5 and 6 at 7pm, Dec. 7 at 8pm.
