Now I can't unsee Rachel Bay Jones as Sally, and pray for a full-flegged revival with her

I am so overwhelmed by this cast. If this was an actual full blown revival some dates would have sold out in minutes

Those tickets went fast! By my count, there are only 35 tickets (aside from partial view and accessible/companion seats) still available.

The balcony was never on sale, so maybe they'll release those at some point.

How exciting! This could go so many ways. My guesses are:

Klea Blackhurst - “Broadway Baby”

Harolyn Blackwell - “One More Kiss”

Norbert Leo Butz - “Buddy’s Blues”

Len Cariou - “The Road You Didn’t Take”

Carolee Carmello - “I’m Still Here”

Christine Ebersole - “In Buddy’s Eyes”

Santino Fontana - “The Right Girl”

Jennifer Holliday - “Who’s That Woman?”

Rachel Bay Jones - “Losing My Mind”

Norm Lewis & Nikki Renée Daniels - “Too Many Mornings”

Donna Murphy - “Could I Leave You?”

Karen Ziemba - “The Story of Lucy and Jessie”

Julie Benko, Erika Henningsen, Grey Henson, Ryan McCartan - “You’re Gonna Love Tomorrow/Love Will See Us Through”

I bet the Kimberly Akimbo kids will be in “Waiting for the Girls Upstairs.”

We’ll see I’m confused. They’re not casting this as a normal production? I thought it was going to be the whole show. But people are splitting roles?

Based on other Transport Group concerts, they do the show as a concert and they have different people singing on each song, rather than singing the same character each time (though some characters do carry through).  It sounds like there will be some sort of choreo/staging though, so not sure how that would work out.

As an example, this was the breakdown for their Nine concert (where Santino Fontana did play Guido the whole time but some people switched off songs):

Ah, ok. I had thought this would be like the “Anyone Can Whistle” even though I know that was Mastervoices.

Here's what the announcement says:

"This unique concert series features a different lineup of performers for each song, rather than a role portrayed by one actor for the entire evening.  Additionally, in lieu of the musical’s book scenes, backstage stories and anecdotes from the creation of the original production are woven between songs."

The balcony is far away and everyone will look very small on stage. But if that's the only availability left, then go for it.

Sounds exciting and all but I’m weary from always hearing the book was the trouble with this show and this presentation isn’t using the book at all.

Why is this being produced "By special arrangement with Cameron Mackintosh?" How is he involved beyond producing the original London production?

It's not that much worse than Dress Circle if you have binoculars. But don't go with the extreme sides; they're marked partial for a reason.
