Interesting that Sunset has taken best revival over guys and dolls. In any other year it’d be guys and dolls, but this production of Sunset is historic!! Can’t wait for Nicole to take her award soon!

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

I know he’s tackled Sondheim before, but I would absolutely love to see a Jamie Lloyd Sweeney

Jak Malone winning makes me so happy, such a ridiculously good performance. I was worried that the momentum may not be sustainable since Mincemeat opened right at the beginning of the season!

How come Andrew Lloyd Webber was not there?

Has he less interest in this production because it is not from his own company?

It is from his company. Really Useful Group is a producer and that's his company.

Why does this legit look like a cardboard cutout of ALW?!

It’s literally a cardboard cut out. A reference to how they do the scene in the show where they have a cardboard cut out of ALW for humour. It’s probably the same one that was in the show lol.

Oh right, yeah. In name only, perhaps. Although Nicole called him her "mentor" in her acceptance speech, so he must have been more involved than I thought.

ALW is a lead producer, he revised the orchestration, he was involved with changes for this production, and he has worked with Scherzinger for a decade.

Perhaps he's learning that it can be beneficial to step back and not be the face of every production, after a string of flops and overexposure.

I don't know how many musical awards there are in the UK, but Nicole won Evening Standard, WhatsOnStag and the Olivier. Did she missed any other award?

Not a fan of her performances at all, but then I didn't like the production that much either. It WAS a huge hit, now ticket sales are very slow and there's no one in the cast to entice people in. I'll be very surprised if it lasts through the summer.
