^Rough and forgettable to say the least. Its DOA. On thing is has going for it is the beauty of the Apollo Theatre.

It’s alright. Some decent music and effects. I wouldn’t say it’s a must-see show but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Reading these threads I’ve learned that “Sunset Blvd” is coming to Broadway very soon or late next year or maybe mid year and it absolutely has a theater which is the St. James or maybe it’s the Shubert but then again they’re still looking for a theater.

The word on the street was that ATG didn’t want anything competing against Cabaret. If they’re looking for a theatre to come in this spring, it’s because Nicole is not willing to wait a year to do it again. I thought it would be odd to close in London in January, and then not immediately transfer. I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up in the Majestic. If they’re already painting the theatre and posting about it, they have to be almost done. It’s already been eight months since they started. All the British transfers will be announced soon. Patriots, Dear England, Old Friends, Sunset Boulevard. On the home front, we’ll see if anything closes. I wonder what will happen with Hells Kitchen, Betty boop, great gatsby, swept away, here we are.

I can tell you now that the Majestic won’t be reopened by the Spring from the looks of it! Sunset will likely take the Shubert if they’re rushing it to New York for the Spring.

You sure have lots of rumors for somebody who frequently has little to no understanding how the industry works.

I agree with Jordan about Time Traveller's Wife. It's an enjoyable show but not mind-blowing. I may have actually enjoyed Backstairs Billy more. I did like both of those more than Operation Mincemeat (although it was entertaining) and I'm curious to know how a transfer for OM would do. No one has mentioned The Little Big Things. There was no flying the night I saw it because of technical issues, but I thought it was a solid show with a great score. I think it could do well at Circle in the Square. Another one I wish would come over is The Great British Bake Off the Musical, which was a delight, but the ship may have sailed on that one at this point.

Has anyone seen Cold War? Buzzy new musical. Also at the Almeida, A Mirror by Sam Holcroft was one of the recipients of the Edgerton foundation new play awards, and has just transferred to the West End. The Hills of California by “British Theater’s coolest power couple” according to vogue is “set to take the west end by storm.” That would be Jez Butterworth and his partner Laura Donnelly who is starring in it.

Any mention of "Motive and the Cue" transferring? I thought for sure it would but I think it may have already closed on the West End...it's really a good play. And Gatiss could certainly win the Tony.
