AN EVENING WITH CHARLES DICKENS READING “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” Comes to Tuscumbia Roundhouse

In 1853 Charles Dickens travels to America, and in an amazing twist of fate, arrives in Tuscumbia, Alabama - taking his audience on a magical journey through Christmas past, present, and future - bringing his remarkable story, "A Christmas Carol" to life!

Goodwill Cultural Ambassador Ronald Rand, acting as more than a dozen characters, will bring to life Charles Dickens reading "A Christmas Carol" at the 8th Annual Dickens Feast holiday tradition at the Tuscumbia Roundhouse, ushering in the spirit of the season with all the joy, wonder, and generosity that Scrooge himself discovers.

Share the happiness of Dickens' perennial masterpiece and join us in celebrating this tradition with your friends and entire family.

The Dickens Christmas Feast will kick off the festivities, on Friday evening, December 7. A Victorian English Christmas dinner with a Southern twist will be served up by Chef Alan Phillips, Red Clay Epicurean, at 7:00 p.m. in the Roundhouse at the Tuscumbia Railway Depot.

Ronald Rand, an International Goodwill Cultural Ambassador, starring as Charles Dickens, has adapted and directed this special presentation. Mr. Rand continues to perform in his celebrated solo play, "LET IT BE ART!" as Harold Clurman, around the world in 23 countries and 20 states, and in two critically acclaimed runs Off-Broadway.

He has appeared in over 200 films, in several Off-Broadway plays, and across America at different regional theaters, including as the Stage Manager in "Our Town," as Captain Keller in "The Miracle Worker," and his special presentation as Captain Keller in the Helen Keller Festival for two years. Best-selling author of "CREATE!" and "Acting Teachers of America." Mr. Rand is the Founder & Publisher of "The Soul of the American Actor" Newspaper, www.LetItBeArt.com, www.CreatetheBook.com, www.SoulAmericanActor.com
