Pangdemonium presents an exciting lineup centred around the theme of HOPE & HOME. The Season opens with the thought-provoking drama THE FATHER is followed by the encore performance of DRAGONFLIES, a piece commissioned by the Singapore Festival of Arts (SIFA) in 2017. Closing the season on a high is critically acclaimed, multiple Tony Award winning play, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER.

From 8-10 December 2017, The Jakarta Players Community Theatre will present the comedy drama Beyond Therapy for the first time in Indonesia. Often dubbed the funniest Christopher Durang play, Beyond Therapy is set in 1980s Manhattan.

Before the stage of PEREMPUAN-PEREMPUAN CHAIRIL next month, Titimangsa Foundation held a 'flashback trip' to commemorate the Poet Chairil Anwar's love story, visiting some spots that used to be his hangout places during his lifetime, in PEREMPUAN-PEREMPUAN CHAIRIL's Walking Tour and Script Discussion program.

To round off their 2017 Season, Pangdemonium will stage the Singapore Premiere of the groundbreaking musical FUN HOME, the musical based on Alison Bechdel's best-selling graphic memoir.

Agus Noor is famous for writing essays, play scripts and monologues, as well as screenplays for television, film director and show director of many theatrical performances and music concerts. Since 2011, he act as Artistic Director of Indonesia Kita program, as well as writing for them, that is held regularly in Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta in 4 performances a year. Also, this year is a pretty busy time for him. There are four shows that he has to prepare with Indonesia Kita (PRESIDEN KITA TERCINTA, PESTA PARA PENCURI, LASKAR BAYARAN, and KORUPTOR PAMIT PENSIUN), followed by BABE (MUKA KAMPUNG REJEKI KOTA) collaborated by Teater Abang None and Maudy Koesnaedi, and PEREMPUAN-PEREMPUAN CHAIRIL with Happy Salma and Titimangsa Foundation.

In Setember 6-7, as part of LIFE's 2017 (Literature and Ideas Festival), Komunitas Salihara presenting the play +51 AVIACION SAN BORJA in Teater Salihara, South Jakarta.

NOMADIC TRAVELER, the 5th Korea-Indonesia Media Installation Art Exhibition invites its audience to explore ideas of travel in the realm of contemporary art.

For the first time, Teater Abang None Jakarta will perform a theatrical concert performance about the life journey of  Benjamin Sueb in the title 'BABE - MUKA KAMPUNG REJEKI KOTA'. Inspired by Benyamin Sueb's biography by Ludhy Cahyana and Muhis Suhaeri in 2015 titled 'Muka Kampung Rejeki Kota', the Producer for the show, Maudy Koesnaedi, adds a different concept as a form of appreciation to the legend who died in Jakarta on September 5, 1995.

After the success of 'BUNGA PENUTUP ABAD' in Jakarta last year and in Bandung last March, Titimangsa Foundation is back to present their upcoming 18th production, 'PEREMPUAN-PEREMPUAN CHAIRIL' in 11-12 November 2017 at Teater Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki. Before they begin the rehearsal process, Titimangsa Foundation held a ceremony at Dia.Loe.Gue Artspace, Kemang, Jakarta in August 19.

This year, Indonesia Dance Company (IDCo) is back with DANCEVENTURE, which presents 8 new dance works from professional choreographer in Indonesia. DANCEVENTURE was held for two days on Saturday, 26 August 2017 at 7PM and Sunday, 27 August 2017 at 5PM at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta.

In 25 and 26 August 2017, Project Indonesia Kita 2017 performed their 25th show titled LASKAR BAYARAN in Teater Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini.

One of the commitment in making WEST SIDE STORY is to share some of the profit to their selected community theatre: Theatre for Life. Through Theatre for Life, JPAC wished to make theatre accessible in many different background. 

On June 8, 10, 11, 17, and 18, 8 PM at Teater & Galeri Salihara, HELATARI SALIHARA 2017 will be held featuring five choreographers with various concepts close to our 'daily' life. Starting from everyday life in Jakarta, the life of sculptors, traditional dance magic to the dance movement that was born from the interpretation of literary works.

For Jakartans' musical aficionados and theater-goers, 'Elhaq Latief' is already a familiar name. He is still young, but he has a long line of theater credits for Directing, Choreographing and Acting.

Teater Garasi / Garasi Performance Institute and Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation, in collaboration with Jakarta Arts Council, present a musical theatre performance (muziktheatre) MENARA INGATAN, based on the composition by Yennu Ariendra (Teater Garasi's own artists and Melancholic Bitch music group) in Teater Kecil, Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta, May 24-25.

Teater KataK will perform an original play titled CLEOPATRA, May 12-14 at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta.

Jakarta Performing Arts Community (JPAC), a non-profit community theatre, will present one of the most well-known love story and musical of all time: West Side Story.
