Earlier this week, the cast of AMERICAN IDIOT set out for Southhampton, where they will launch the UK tour of Green Day's explosive, award-winning Broadway rock musical, which will culminate in a London season at the legendary HMV Hammersmith Apollo from December 4 - 16. The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Bring It On: The Musical will be produced by Ghostlight Records and available on Back Lot Music, and available for digital download on iTunes now and in stores October 16, 2012. The cast of Bring It On recorded the album at MSR Studios in New York City on August 9, 10 and 16, 2012 under the direction of Album Producers Alex Lacamoire, Tom Kitt and Kurt Deutsch. After a three-year absence, Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway returns to the 47th Street Theatre with a brand new edition, Forbidden Broadway: ALIVE AND KICKING. The show, which opened on September 6, will run for a limited engagement through January 6, 2013. This production will mark Forbidden Broadway's 30th Anniversary, as well as its 21st edition. On June 25, the stars of the upcoming revival of Jekyll & Hyde, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages) and Grammy Award Nominee Deborah Cox (Aida), hosted the 4th annual National High School Musical Theater Awards at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre. The show featured 60 of America's most talented young musical theater performers vying for the "Jimmy Award" for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor. This year, Elizabeth Romero, Joshua Grosso were crowned the night's big winners. Each received $10,000 scholarship awards for their efforts. Runners up, who each recieved $2,500 in scholarships, were Evan Greenberg, Drew Shafranek, Nicolette Burton, and Erica Durham. BroadwayWorld's Randy Rainbow popped by the event and wandered onto the red carpet where he ran into Maroulis, Cox, Frank Wildhorn.
