Guest Blogger: Laura Coale Laura Coale most recently sang with Opera in the Heights in the chorus of I Pagliacci, and is excited to return to perform the role of Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice. This past summer she covered the role of Ruth in The Pirates of Penzance, produced by the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston. In 2014 Mrs. Coale received much acclaim as the Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos with the Kingwood Summer Opera. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston where she enjoyed performing: Ma Joad/The Grapes of Wrath, The Fox/The Cunning Little Vixen, Zita/Gianni Schicchi.

Over the past five years Mezzo Soprano Laura Coale has appeared in nine Opera in the Heights productions, singing in the chorus as well as supporting roles. She's thrilled that she will be singing the title role of Orfeo in Gluck's ORFEO ED EURIDICE in her 10th Oh! production.
