HEAR ME ROAR is Coming to Melbourne

Trevor Ashley and Phil Bathols today announced a Melbourne date for HEAR ME ROAR, their sensational new music event that will bring together some of the greatest songs ever written by women, performed by some of Australia's leading female artists. Taking its inspiration from Helen Reddy's legendary lyric, this exciting new show is a musical tribute to female empowerment and will play for one night only in Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne on Saturday 9 March 2019 to celebrate International Women's Day. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 14 December.

In a concert packed full of energy, hear iconic music from Amy Winehouse to Carole King, Dolly Parton to Madonna, Tina Turner to Adele, Billie Holliday to Joni Mitchell, culminating in a very special tribute to Aretha Franklin. Expect to hear legendary hit songs like Natural Woman, RESPECT, 9 to 5, Express Yourself, You Oughta Know and the anthem I Am Woman.

Performed by a gathering of some of Australia's most talented female artists, Christine Anu, Tania Doko, Emma Pask, Melinda Schneider and Prinnie Stevens, hear these hit songs sung live with a rocking, all-female eight-piece band, led by the incomparable Tina Harris.

Christine Anu claimed, "Nobody says it or sings it better than Aretha Franklin. She is one of my greatest influences and an inspiration. I truly believe she was the greatest soul singer of our time!"

Producer Trevor Ashley said, "This concert is such an exciting thing to have put together: teaming some of Australia's greatest female vocalists with songs that changed music forever. Not only that - it's so much FUN!"

Grab your friends and get ready for a night that celebrates the female voices that changed music and the world.
