Since 1962, over five million people have enjoyed more than 150 free productions of Shakespeare and other classical works and musicals at the Delacorte Theater. Conceived by founder Joseph Papp as a way to make great theater accessible to all, The Public's Free Shakespeare in the Park continues to be the bedrock of the Company's mission to increase access and engage the community.

How can you snag tickets to this season's productions of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and CORIOLANUS? Read more below and watch as Shakespeare in the Park veterans Patti Murin, Kyle Beltran and Nikki M. James explain!

1. Free tickets are distributed on each performance day via the free lines at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Free tickets are distributed at 12PM (noon) every day that there is a public performance. Performance days will vary from week to week, so be sure to check the performance calendar.

2. A limited number of tickets for each public performance also will be distributed via lottery through the TodayTix mobile lottery and website.

3. A limited number of vouchers for that night's performance will be distributed via an in-person lottery downtown at The Public Theater, 425 Lafayette Street at Astor Place.

4. On specific performance dates, a limited number of vouchers for that night's performance will be distributed at a location in one of New York's five boroughs to make it easier for all New Yorkers to enjoy Free Shakespeare in the Park. Ticket vouchers will be distributed between 12PM (noon) and 2PM, while supplies last. Vouchers must be exchanged for tickets at the Delacorte Theater Box Office in Central Park between 5PM and 7:30PM. Vouchers are only valid until 7:30PM for performances on the day they are issued.

Each person (age 5+) may receive up to two (2) tickets, until we run out. There are separate lines for Senior Accessibility for senior citizens (65+) and ADA Accessibility for patrons with disabilities (attestation required).
