Violet Productions Presents, Pageant Princess, The Musical as part of the New York New Works Theatre Festival, August 31st, 7pm/Elektra Theatre Tickets $21.25 (for tickets visit www.NYNWTheatreFestival.com).

From the award winning creators, Penner/Mackenzie/Ernst, comes the provocative new musical, Pageant Princess, The Musical, directed/choreographed by Shannon Lewis.

What would happen if the Christopher Guest classic Waiting for Guffman and the reality TV hit sensation Toddlers and Tiaras were to have a musical love child that was born in Texas? Pageant Princess, that's what!

Pageant follows the bedazzled lives of three children and their dysfunctional families in the quest for the crown at Little Miss Glamour and Glitz - Texas. Join them as they experience the turmoil of shaping their routines, shaping their hair and shaping their flipper (for their teeth). And let's not forget the spray-on tans! All that and a crazy cat lady for a judge and the most delightfully flamboyant host this side of the Mississippi fill up this Dixie cup of musical insanity that the whole family will enjoy! So grab your taffeta and glitter and come on down to Pageant Princess.

And remember, at Little Miss Glamour and Glitz - Texas, it's what's on the outside that counts!

Pageant Princess features Adam Baritot, Victoria Britt, Laura Daniel, Erin Evers, Brad Giovanine,, Lorelei Mackenzie, Kristen Penner and Taylor Elise Rector. Book, Music and Lyrics by Kristen Penner and Lorelei Mackenzie; Music by Joni Ernst.

Awards: Best Musical Series B, West Village Musical Theatre Festival 2014; Best Score, West Village Musical Theatre Festival 2014; Best Music and Lyrics, Planet Connections Theatre Festivity 2012.

The performance will take place Wednesday, August 31st @ 7:00 pm at Elektra Theatre, 300 W. 43rd Street.
