BWW has just learned that Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Pulitzer Prize-award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to host the Oct. 8 telecast of NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.

Miranda, who is making his "SNL" hosting debut, recently finished his Broadway run as the composer, lyricist and performer in the musical sensation HAMILTON.

Twenty One Pilots will make their "SNL" debut alongside Miranda. The duo (Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun) recently made history BECOMING the first alternative group ever with two simultaneous singles in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 - "Ride," from their multi-platinum studio album "Blurryface," and "Heathens," from "Suicide Squad: The Album."

"SNL" returns Oct. 1 with host Margot Robbie and musical guest The Weeknd.

"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
