MISS SAIGON, now celebrating its 25th anniversary on stage, marked the milestone event with a special performance in London, featuring cast members from the original 1989 production joining the current cast members for a spectacular finale.

Present at the gala performance was famed producer Cameron Mackintosh, who gushed to the Metro.co.uk, 'I'm so proud of where people have GONE to and grown from this material." He continued, '[Miss Saigon] will be performed long after I'm dead. I've always thought that this could make the best film of all musicals.'

While no details have been released as to who would take on the musical's iconic roles in a big screen adaptation, Lea Salong and Simon Bowman, who originated the roles of Kim and Chris on the West End, shared that they would love to be involved in the project in any way possible. 'A cameo would be great!' said Salonga, adding 'Hide us in the back somewhere, just so we can say we were a part of it.' Quipped Bowman, 'Or holding on to the tail of the helicopter.'

LES MISERABLES star Ruthie Henshall, who began her stage career as a member of the Miss Saigon ensemble noted, 'If anyone can make a Miss Saigon movie happen, it's Cameron.'

Miss Saigon is now running at THE PRINCE Edward Theatre in London. The new cast recording titled 'The Definitive Miss Saigon Live Recording', is out now available to purchase.
