Community music making has always been at the core of Co-Operas raison dtre, and this season we will be taking this to the next level. In preparation for the Come and Sing event, participants will be given a score and recordings, and supported by two group rehearsals (Saturday 29 June & Saturday 6 July, 2-5pm) . These will culminate in a performance - on Saturday 13th July at 2pm - of Mozarts immortal Requiem, supported by soloists Katrina MacKenzie, Deborah Johnson, Jiacheng Ding, and Lachlan Scott, and accompanied by musicians from the Royal Commonwealth Society Ensemble.
