This double bill pairs the surreal dream-world of Schoenbergs masterpiece Erwartung with the premier of Daphne, Ovids legend from the Metamorphoses retold from her own tragic perspective.Set in a forest, and torn between dream, myth, and reality, the two operas are united inthe schism between what we want and how the world truly is.Sung by soprano Bethany Hill, Daphne is written by the award winning playwright FleurKilpatrick, composed by Josh van Konkelenberg, and directed by Brock Roberts.
